Dont Let College App Essay Clichés Ruin Your College Experience
Don't Let College App Essay Clichés Ruin Your College ExperienceCollege App Essay Clichés that 'she was crazy'no one would hire her' should be left behind. The fact is that the majority of college graduates go on to be successful and make a lot of money in their careers. However, they are very proud of having completed their degrees, and so they tend to refer to themselves as 'successful'highly successful' graduates.Assume, however, that this girl graduated in 1996. Having attended college at that time, she has no time for the cliches that most college students will reference on their college application essays. After the student graduates from college, she works in the corporate world for a multinational corporation. The only problem with this scenario is that she has no idea what her line of work is all about, or how much she actually earns. She feels like it would be boring to describe herself as a 'successful graduate' with no clue about what her income actually is.The situation described above may well be typical of the situation in which you work on your college app essay. While you may have earned a fairly good salary upon graduation, chances are that it may not have been high enough to lead to the level of success that you dreamed of. This is due to the fact that graduates tend to follow a well-worn path through their careers, from job to job.Working your way up in a company, then transferring to another company, again working your way up until you get a promotion. This process continues until the moment when you are in a position where you are making more money than you could possibly imagine. For you, though, there is one problem with the college app essay that often crops up: The dreaded pay scale. All too often, when college graduates get a pay raise or an additional promotion, they are simply amazed at how high their income has risen to. They are usually a bit disheartened by the fact that their previous salary was so low. What is even worse is that your newfound salary doesn't necessarily mean that you can purchase all of the things that you have dreamed of - such as that very nice car that you have been imagining in your head. Most college graduates can not afford even the simplest of cars. In fact, many of them have very few investments. The fact is that the money that you earn after graduation is not going to be just a little bit higher than the amount that you were making before; it is going to be far more than what you were earning before, and much more than what you could have ever dreamed of. This is because there are so many people who are far better qualified to teach college students than you were. The people who teach you are not going to be having the salaries that you thought were possible just for teaching you.
